SUSTAINABLITY PLEDGE

PEOPLE CONSCIOUS

We support diversity, equity and inclusion by fostering an engaging culture which uses food to bring people together.  Firstly, we do this by ensuring fair pay across our workforce and providing a safe and engaging space to work in. Secondly, we do this by partnering with social enterprises and Fairtrade companies to promote and support sustainable food sources and experiences. 

We adapt and enhance our menus by recycling ingredients used in previous dishes and often inspiring last minute specials that are offered to your production at no extra cost. For low risk foods that we aren’t able to recycle, we offer these to the crew at the end of each lunch service for them to take home or have as afternoon snacks.

We take steps to monitor our carbon footprint and put in place remedial actions to lower this on set. We do this by understanding the impact of our carbon footprint, we then look for ways to reduce this organically and, where we can’t reduce this organically, we look to invest a percentage of our profits into off-setting our carbon footprint.

SUPPLIER CONSCIOUS

To be certain that the food origin meets our standards of animal welfare and ecological stewardship, we use Kingfisher Sustainability. For all other produce, we use reputable suppliers and British produce wherever possible.

TRAVEL CONSCIOUS

All of our vehicles are Euro 6 compliant. We also seek to reduce fuel consumption and lower exhaust emissions by improved route planning. 

WASTE CONSCIOUS

PACKAGE CONSCIOUS

We use compostable service wear and bio-packaging such as Vegware, made from agricultural sources. 

ENERGY CONSCIOUS

We will use environmentally safe and sustainable energy sources to meet our needs whenever possible and turn off equipment when not in use. We cook with LPG which has a smaller carbon foot print than electricity.

WATER CONSCIOUS

In order to reduce the amount of water consumed on site we ensure staff avoid dishwasher use until there is a full load, use the appropriate amount of water required when using kettles. We ensure staff wash vegetables and fruits in bowls/sink rather than under a running tap.

ALLERGEN CONSCIOUS

Our diverse ethos recognises the fact that people are food-conscious and food-sensitive and need a food palette and offering which recognises and promotes our differences. We therefore cater for all allergens and intolerances and encourage our production and crew to promote their differences.
